With strangers giving us shotguns completely off the table, we might as well just watch Netflix and Google Hang while we’re pretending to work on Monday. But if you insist on being a “part of something bigger,” then you might want to blow that tree for charity.
- As our digitized selves acclimate to a lack of touch, we’re becoming quite high on Highstream’s 420 Festival. We’re curious to see how the Pharcyde, Melissa Etheridge, Disco Biscuits and the rest of the bill are presented online. Crew Nation, Drug Policy Alliance and Americans for Safe Access are the beneficiaries of this event. That one — which also features workshops, demos and interactive panels broadcasting — jumps off at 1 pm on nugs.tv.
- But, too, Monday has Tommy Chong, Rob Garza and B-Real’s Great American Sesh In, a telethon show for COVID-19 relief, via Direct Relief. This one starts streaming at 11 a.m.
- At 4:20 pm, Flower Co. and Emerald Galore founder Tony Diepenbrock will try to break the world record for “Most People Consuming Cannabis on Video Chat.” (Because that record is so long-held and storied.) Diepenbrock’s goal is get 1,000 people at once onto a Zoom conference call. Proceeds go to the Last Prisoner Project.
- If charity isn’t your thing, Weedmaps has the biggest online concert event we know of. Just sayin’.
