The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario announced it would resume issuing Retail Store Authorizations (RSAs) to stores that were already complete before Ontario’s emergency order to close businesses and stop work on construction projects. Once a store has received an RSA, it may open its doors.
- Roughly 12 stores were “complete” earlier this month when the province froze RSAs as part of its pandemic lockdown.

- The province immediately resumed its fast pace, issuing six RSAs on the first day, and quickly shifting eight stores into the public-notice phase, the final stage stores must pass through before opening their doors.
